Princess Rose

I would like to introduce to you “Princess Rose”.

She was a gift given to my mother  when she was young.


The neighbor had personally hand-painted her for my mother.

Every detail was included; Even her ruffled slip on the bottom of her dress.

She is actually a jar.  The lid is from the top tier of her dress up.


When I was a little girl I actually though it was a portrait of my beautiful mother.

To this day, I still think it is. 

You see, my mother’s name is Rose.
