Today, I feel like returning to the lavender field. (Only in my mind, of course.)
The one on Maui called Ali`i Kula Lavender or “AKL”.
Nestled In the uplands of Maui, along the skirt of Haleakala which means “House of the Sun”.
I can hear the trickling of water falling from the beautiful fountain while I take in the beautiful view of the Hawaiian coastline below.
I am enveloped in the scent of lavender. I think I will stay here awhile learning about all the types of lavender one can grow.
“Lavandula x intermedia” is also known as “Dutch” Lavender.
The x means it is a cross with two plants and the intermedia means that these crossed plants have the best qualities of both parents.
I am taking a deep breath and then exhaling slowly trying to remember to remind myself of “this place” during the stressful moments of this week.
