Here are more of the many pictures I took of Ali’i Lavender Garden. It is located on Maui.
This view (above) reminds me of being back in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains.
Ali’i Lavender Garden is nestled under the ledge of Haleakala Crater.
A vacant birdhouse waiting for it's next guest to "fly in". This handmade birdhouse has just as much charm and character as the garden itself.
Lavandula angustifolia ‘Victorian Amethyst’
As opulent as the gemstone, this English Lavender shimmers with amethyst-colored corollas set off by dark purple calyxes. Its winsome habit features a compact mass of young greenish gray leaves maturing to frosted silver, while the pretty blooms perched on short flowering stems bestow a soft old-fashioned feel. Blooms June–July.
Purple tufts of lavender colorize the garden slopes and permeate the air with it's sweet fragrance.

Mmmmmm, bet it smelled wonderful there. I love lavender. Have some liquid hand soap in lavender right now and it's lovely. Thanks for sharing. Susan
