It has been quite awhile since I have blogged in "pink".
A friend recently asked me what color of rose is my favorite.
I suppose it would have to be the color of the rose shown above. (It is genetic from my mother's side)
It also has been awhile since I have shown anything from my glass collection.
This romantic sugar jar was made by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company of Pittsburgh, PA, starting in 1894.
This pattern is known as " Florette " and is a pillow quilted satin glass.
This pattern was prevalent in biscuit and cracker jars as well.
How beautiful sugar crystals would look in such a vintage treasure.
