Teacup Tuesday with Martha and Terri

I am happy to be participating in Martha and Terri’s “Tea Cup Tuesday”!
      

 

This week I am showing a teacup in my favorite combination of blue and white.
   

    

This teacup was made in England by the Burleigh Company.

    

    

This is Burleigh's most famous pattern and is called  “Blue Calico”.  

       

   
This rich cobalt blue pattern has been produced for over 100 years. 
    


    
I found this absolutely lovely variety pack of honey-clover stirrers. 
     

It looks like a jewel with the sunshine streaming through it.
        

     
I knew I would have so much fun taking pictures of them for you.
         

    

And I did.
       

 

I can’t wait to show you the other shapes.
     

  

They are all just divine.

The Talented Jeanne Illenye

It is with great pleasure I introduce you to Jeanne Illenye.  I have been admiring her work from a distance for a very long time.

Timeless Touches

I have filled one of the chairs in my master bedroom with some of my favorite things;

Such as “Warren” the Boyd’s teddy bear given to us as a gift when our beautiful son was born.

I had fun mixing material textures and shades of blue.


On the pillow above, I had some favorite teacup material made into a custom pillow.

Believing always in the Angels.

 
Needlepoint pillows are timeless and a add a perfect traditional touch.

Tea in My Master Bedroom

Here is another “peek” into my Master Bedroom. 

 English blue and white Masons Rington’s Tea Collectors Plates decorate my wall.

Porcelain blue and white tassel bells “hang-out” in various places.
I still remember the day my dear husband said…”Go For It"!” when it came to the beautiful wooden curtain finials.
This series of plates is from the Rington’s “Collection of Tea”.  Above is a plate featuring beautiful old Tea Caddys and it is called the Decorative Caddy Collection.

I believe I bought these tassels at Tuesday Morning years ago.  I had to go around to more than one store to find enough of them to use as finials.  I was lucky.
The plate has been decorated with a series of English Teapot panels.  Each panel has a image of a teapot in the Teapot Collection.
The plate has been decorated with a series of gadroon panels, where each of the panels has  an  illustration of a jug in the Decorative Jug Collection.

Just follow the easy step by step instructions for installing the background and the header into your BlogSpot.

   Click on "Design"

   Now click on "Add a Gadget"
3. 
   
   Choose "HTML/JavaScript"
4. 
   
   Copy and paste the following text in the content box:

View your blog.  If the template does not look as it should on your BlogSpot do the following:

   Click on "Edit HTML" Tab

   Click on "Select Layout Template".
3. 
   
   Select the the Minima template.

   Click on  "SAVE TEMPLATE"

   View your blog and

   Click on your “Template Designer” Tab.  It will look like this:

   Click on your button.

   Click on “Blog Title Color”.  Pick your color. (For this background I used #003361)  Here is a screenshot of what it will look like:

   Now, click on “Blog Title Font”. Choose the size and type of the font. (Here I used “Times New Roman  at 45 px size)

   Now click “Apply To Blog” in the orange box in the top righthand corner.  Then click “View Blog” and Whala!!!  Your done.

A Peek At Some Treasures In My Master Bedroom

Here are some pictures I took of a few of the treasures displayed in my master bedroom.

A silver sugar bowl adds a touch of shine.

Blue and white accents dominate my master bedroom.


The decanter has a wonderful shape and is covered with a floral design.
 

A sachet of “Fleurs Bleues” Made in France.


This is a little planter made by my son when he was five.  It was my Mother’s Day gift from him.  I treasure it.

 
Seashells add a natural and refreshing touch to my room.
