Savon de Marseille

The other day I came across a beautiful bar of Le Sérail Savon de Marseille France.

(click pictures to enlarge)

It was in a clearance basket.

So I did my little *happy dance* and purchased the French milled soap.

Savon de Marseille is a pure handcrafted soap made in the South of France.

It is made with coconut and palm oils.

And sea salt.

They have been making soap in Marseille for over 300 years in the same natural way.

It smells heavenly.

KiKi Update

Well…Good news!

KiKi’s only problem was a gallbladder full of “sludge”…(must be a medical term)  *smiling*  This is hindering her liver from functioning properly.

Her entire abdomen is fine.  Her intestines looked pushed to the side due to how they positioned her for her x-ray.
We have antibiotics and medication to eliminate the “sludge”;  Three months worth.

For now, she is my little “sludge bucket”.  *wink*

Thank you so very much for all of your well wishes sent our way.  (They worked!!!)

My KiKi Girl

Yesterday, my eight year old sweet fur ball was very sick.  She had not been eating for a day, extremely lethargic, and I was trying to be as positive as I could.

She had an x-ray and a blood test.  Her liver enzymes are high and her intestines is not where they are suppose to be with no obvious reasons why.  (pushed to the side)

Today (Thursday) she will get an ultrasound with a specialist to explain the above.

*This Morning (Thursday)*

Needless to say, I am up extremely early with KiKi on my mind.

She is acting like her old self this morning; Jumping and bouncing around.  (???)

(This is wonderful news and I thank God.)

She will have her ultrasound today.

Last night, I threw myself into another design.
(I wanted to at least give you some insight as to where it came from.)

Sometimes life is extremely difficult and we have no idea why.

This is my way of dealing with the “why”.

Snowman Sparkles

I received this stacking snowman teapot as a gift one year.

I added a little vintage sparkle to his little cap so he would shine for our little tea party.

The bottom tier of him is the actual teapot and is decorated with several Christmas cookies.

12-12 0442

He is perfect for the Holiday Season;

And he fits right in with my vintage pink ornaments.

12-12 0441

My sweetie bought this huge tin of sugar cookies from Denmark for the holiday…I love the way the sugar sparkles.

The middle of the stack is an adorable little creamer with a peppermint scarf.

One of my favorite little tunes this time of year is “Christmas Is Coming”.    When my son was young, we use to sing this song in the car.

I  took one of these adorable cookie cards and added the words of this little tune to it.

Wayside Treasures

I am so excited to say, I have received my beautiful treasures from Sandi’s wonderful blog “Wayside Treasures”.

As you might recall I was the lucky winner of her fabulous giveaway pictured above.

The first thing that over took me as I opened the box is the wave of yummy lavender.

The second thing was how carefully and sweetly Sandi wrapped her treasures in tissue paper with the words “Blessings” written all over them.  (so sweet!)

She even made a custom tag with detailed die- cuts and tied it to the heavenly bird below.

I unwrapped the glittering star first.  (This picture does not do this gorgeous star any justice)

waysidetreasures0013

It is the most beautiful star I have ever seen.  (It even  had a Christmas Wish attached to it)

Next, I unwrapped the lavender sachet and the one of the kind beautifully made ivory button garland.  (Wow!)

waysidetreasures0009

I wanted to get a close-up photo of the sachet details of lace string and ivory floral button.

Last but not least, I opened the Pottery Barn napkins.

The napkins are so crisp and beautifully tied with a ivory ribbon.

I will be sleeping with the lavender sachet.

There are no words to say except, “Thank you Sandi for your generous treasure trove”.

Christmas Treasure

I do hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

I would like to say the sweetest “thank you” if you had a chance to stop by over your busy weekend.   I really do appreciate it.

Today I would like to share one of my favorite Christmas decorations.

It is a little box made by Fitz & Floyd called “Christmas Treasure”.

I adore the colors used in all the frosted and sugared cookies with the “Dear Santa” note tucked in the middle of the pile.

nov29-10133

Every year I enjoy unwrapping this decoration just as I did the first time I bought it.  (Must have been the early 1990’s)

Even I forget some years when I open the box to find the little mouse inside munching on one of the cookies.

“Faith”

"When you get to the end

11072010003 033

of all the light you know;

11072010003 015

and it's time to…

11072010003 073

step into the darkness of the unknown,

11072010003 021

Faith is…

11072010003 061

knowing that one of two things shall happen;

11072010003 042

either you will be given something solid to stand on,

11072010003 009

or you will be taught how to fly."
