Once Upon a Time

I finally made the wand that I had sitting around for the longest time.

I started with just a paper mache wand like this one:

That I had purchased at a craft store many moons ago.

Covered the star with glue.

Then dipped the star in silver glass glitter.

Once it dried, I wrapped the wand with some beautiful silver ribbon.

I still envision adding more ribbons and decor at the base of the star.

But for now, it still made for a beautiful photo.

We are all joining in the fun over at Beverly's "Pink Saturday" Party.

I am also joining Cindy's "Show and Tell Friday".

If a wandering fairy godmother sees that wand, she may make all your wishes come true because it's soooooo pretty! Susan

When I taught first grade we always started our day with star pointers to add a wee bit of magic to our school day, very similar to yours. Pretty, and it brings back sweet memories. ♥♫

Such a cute wand and the vignettes with the dance slippers are really pretty. Seems like a fun project and pretty easy - maybe even I could do it. One day hopefully I might get a granddaughter to play with. : )
