The tables were set for our " Villa Tea " lunch with simple vintage elegance. (The tablecloths were divine!)
It was a whimsical Tuscan escape taken in the middle of our day to " Cathy Rumcake's ".
It was clear much thought (and good taste) went into decorating and personalizing each tea table.
Being a lover of vintage teacups, I immediately was drawn to display of teacups on each beautiful table.
Above you can see our delicious lunch which consisted of a ribbon sandwich, strawberries & cream, and Cathy's own homemade scone.
There were also delectable jams and a lemon curd in adorable little jam pots for the scone.
And best of all was desert. Yes, Cathy's classic strawberry rum cake. The same exact flavor I had at my wedding and on my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary.
In my last post on this topic I will show you pictures of Cathy's display of "Rumderful" Cakes.
So stay tuned . . .
Have a terrific Friday!

Oh what gorgeous tea tables. Love all the china...I think I even espied some "Old Country Roses" my favourite. The beautiful cream sponge cake looked delish!
What a beautiful place and the food looks so good. That strawberry rum cake just put about five pounds on me. Sounds like such a wonderful time.
