A Little Bit of Heaven

Here is a little gift I created for my mother for Mother's Day.

Like a child one inspired afternoon, I pulled out my glass glitter, rubber stamps, glue,  scrapbook paper, and ribbon box.

I started by stamping some white silk rose petals with one of my favorite rubber stamps and then finished by coating the edges of each petal with glue and  iridescent glitter (my favorite).

This flower began as a purchased paper rose from Michael's wedding section.  I just began flattening it out and playing with it in my hands until I saw the flower I wanted.

I needed something else . . . hmmmm. . . as I looked around I plucked a silk leaf off of one of my silk plants I have.  ( I live in the desert *wink* )  And coated it with the some more iridescent glitter.

Now came the best part,

Choosing the center of the flower from my vintage jewelry collection.

I ended up using this wonderful single earring I found made up of tiny pearl bits.

I added some sparkle to the edges of the flower with my awsome glass glitter.  (Actually done earlier, before applying the flower onto the cone)

Finished it off with strands of ribbon and a distressed label and Whala! . . .
