For Cindy's "Show and Tell Friday" and Liz's "Fresh Cut Friday", I have picked some of the best roses from my garden just for you.
And have placed them into one of my apothecary jars.
This jar is a reproduction of a vintage pharmacy jar.
It was manufactured by Ely Lilly in 1988.
I fell in love withe the blue and white color combination,
As well as the angel painted on it.
The letters " U:CAELFUL:FO "
I have found to translate from Latin to, " strong blue ointment ".
This ointment was used in England as early as the 17th century.
The ointment contained Mercury so eventually it was replaced with safer medicines such as antibiotics.
I am happy to be joining Cindy's "Show and Tell Friday" over at her blog "My Romantic Home". And Liz's "Fresh Cut Friday" over at her blog "Rose Vingnettes".

Dearest Mo,
Gorgeous roses you plucked from your own garden; what a wealth for having those... Your button with Motherhood is so beautiful; almost divine. For the special day to honor all our mothers, earthly and heavenly, roses are a must!
Lots of love,
Mariette
