Sweet Tea

I adore silver tea sets.

Although I do not own an entire set, I have a couple vintage pieces.

For "Pink Saturday" I designed this blog graphic for the followers of "Rose Petals from Heaven". 

Perhaps in the future, I will post this graphic in other colors.

Find Your Bliss - Free Blog Graphic!

Time for a new graphic.

My latest design brings out the essence of my passion for vintage roses.

It began with a beautiful atomizer bottle and grew from there.  I love vintage perfume bottles and they make for great graphics!

As I look at it now, I realize it looks suspiciously similar to a beautiful gift my sister once gave to me; A lovely Royal Albert Old Country Roses Perfume atomizer.  So, because of that I dedicate this design to her.  (Love ya sis!)

Sometimes the hardest part of designing one of these graphics is finding the right words to go with them.

I think these words go perfectly.

Dancing Shoes

" Island " Roses

On one of my trips to the island of Maui, I wandered into a store called " Totally Hawaiian ".

What drew me into this shop was something in the window display.

The something was the vivid colors of pink, purple, yellow, and red.

As I walked closer, I realized these roses were not roses at all, but seashells.

I am always inspired by a person's ability to take something ordinary and turn it into something extraordinary.

Easter Sunday '11

Easter Sunday is a day of joy.

Renewal.

Rebirth.

Family.

Traditions.

Easter is a Celebration.

When fragraces from new blossoms fill the air,



And we remember to .  .  .

Bunny Love

I recall picking up this bunny at Tuesday Morning.

He was a bargain at only two dollars!

He was on clearance and needed some love.



I knew he would make for a wonderful Easter photo shoot.

  

He even had a chip in his foot in the shape of a heart.

I filled him with white paper roses.

And sat him next to a beautiful lavender basket.

He seemed to be smiling under his adorable pink nose!

Sweet Scent of Lily

Sunday I received a wonderful surprise visit from my mother and father. 



My mother was hidden behind a huge Easter lily plant she had picked out for me.

It was magical.

We get to enjoy it all week long.

This Easter lily has the sweetest fragrance to it.  It is indescribable.

When my teenage son saw the plant, I asked him to smell the flower as I have always done since he was old enough to walk.  ( kindly he did. )

I suppose inside I am hoping he will always remember to close his eyes and lose himself in a flower's fragrance, even for just that moment.

It is one of many of heaven's gifts where one can find peace.

I hope you are finding peaceful moments of reflection this week.
