Time for a new blog graphic.  (I think you will like this one.)

First off, I would like to say thank you to all of the new (and existing) followers to    " Rose Petals from Heaven ".  I do appreciate each beautiful thought sent my way and I love visiting your blogs finding my inspiration along this journey.

My latest design was inspired by something inside wanting to design around the moon. 

It began with a background of blue with stars and grew from there.

Once I wrote the first line, I just had to animate the graphic and add the second line of the song.

(I do feel it was meant for one of you.)

This time I made two sizes to choose from for your blog.

Orchids and Chintz

What a beautiful combination this is.

Whenever I visit the Islands, it has become a habit of mine never to leave without picking up an orchid or two.

Not real orchids of course, but beautiful reminders of the vivid hues that seem to pop with color.

My love has just purchased tickets to return to the Islands this summer and I've already started to hear the waves crash against the lava rocks whispering,

             .  .  .  " Welcome Home ".

My Tea House

It's the little things in life,

 

that make each day special. 

Like this little

silverplated tea house tea infuser.

 

This was a gift to me from my mother.

 

She always seems to know exactly what to get me.

I have a couple other tea balls.

I will have to blog about them sometime.

I do hope you are finding time for the " little things " in life this weekend.

One of My Most Treasured Keepsakes

This by far is one of my most treasured keepsakes.

It was handmade long ago,

Out of rose petals.

Each bead on this vintage rosary consists of several rose petals,

That were carefully collected from a garden,

Each enduring the days spent creating one of these priceless treasures.



I hope to one day create some myself.

I have read the first rosaries ever made were made of rose petal beads.

They are extremely durable if you do not expose them to liquid.

Children used to make them for extra money long ago.

They are a rare art indeed and usually handed down in families as heirlooms.
