Patience & Passion ~ Oh, the things you can do!

Recently, I came across these amazing one of a kind treasures handmade by Franc Grom.

He is a 70-year old Slovenian craftsman and has drilled holes in Easter eggshells for the last 19 years to make ornaments on them.

He drills an approximate number of 2500 to 3500 holes to make a single special Easter eggshell for which he spends usually one week.

Grom is the only artist making craftworks on eggshells by drilling this number of holes.

I suppose no one else has the patience, passion, or tender touch.

This is a reminder to me that we all have a gift, a special gift that is ours to give to the world.  We just need to locate it within ourselves.

Wow.  Just Wow.

I am inspired.

Amazingly beautiful! I am lucky to have the goose eggs that my dad's cousin decorated many years ago. They are treasures to me, but nothing as intricate as these eggs.♥♫

That is so wonderful and unique! I was just telling my husband about it over the phone and he can't wait to see when he comes in. Ah, they are beautiful!

I have never seen anything like these! MY GOSH! Can you imagine how many he has probably broken over he years as he attempted to drill one more hole? I wonder if he uses some kind of stabilizer on the base egg before he starts? What an amazing talent! He is quite an artist! xo Diana

Those are beautiful. I have seen similar eggs before, though. There is a lady that sets up at our annual craft show here that sells them. She uses chicken eggs, but also duck, emu and ostrich. I've never looked at them too seriously becauze at my house I know they would be broken, but our aunt has bought a few.

Hi Mo! I'm glad you used the word "Wow!" because that's about all I can utter, too. Unbelievably gorgeous and what PATIENCE! I could never do it, even if I did have the talent! :)

Oh my GOODNESS, Mo....That was absolutely amazing.

The artist is truly making fabulous works of art from egg shells. But ohhhhh, if they break! Heart-breaking.

Thanks for sharing and Mo, have a most blessed Easter! Susan
