Sparkling Hearts of Light

This morning I just started playing around with my graphic from a couple of days ago.

I wanted to make it more watercolorish (is that a word?) and dreamy...with lots of sparkling little hearts of light.

Daze of Roses

Here are some other pictures I took last weekend,

While my rose garden is blooming again.

My rose garden blooms twice a year.

Once in the spring,

And once in the fall.

Every year I am suprised by the amount of roses blooming during the Autumn months.

And every year I am like a child in a candy shop gazing and gathering the beautiful colors and scents hoping to make them last as long as possible.

Weekend with Roses

Since beginning to blog,

I have found a hidden love.

Photography.

As you can attest,

I enjoy the macro lens.

Perhaps because it captures the beauty of fine detail

That my simple eye glances over.

These are pictures I took over the weekend.

Little by little I played around until I got the background exactly the way I wanted it.

Amuleto - Part I

I came across these pictures my brother sent me of his honeymoon trip.

He spent it in a place called " Amuleto ".

An enchanting Hotel located in Zihuatanejo Ixtapa, Mexico .

The pictures he took were so beautiful,

I just had to share them with you.

There are many more I will show you, so stay tuned.

A Breath of Heaven

Mother's Rose Bowl

Saturday night we had a dinner get together at my parent's house.

I am blessed to live so close to them.

Before we left, my mother gave me her vintage lead crystal rose bowl.

She had bought it back in Connecticut when I was a a toddler.

It catches the light in so many places.

  

Today I filled it with roses.

It lends itself to many wonderful uses.

The cover is spectacular.

I also baked some banana bread.

 

And my husband surprised me with a spa treatment for both of us to get a two hour massage this morning.

All and all I had a beautiful weekend.

Thank you Mom for the beautiful gift.

I will always cherish it.
