Time for a Dreamscape . . .

After a long week, it is time to escape.

Dreamscape that is . . .

To an exotic luxury " get-away " .

Located on Baie des Flamands Beach.

A beautiful hotel that combines the charm of the West Indies,

with the sophisticated style of the south of France.

with every room is individually decorated with . . .

vintage French fabrics and sheer linens.

Where treasures are found,

And the whisper of the Caribbean breeze and the soothing waves are the only things you hear.

Island Cookies & Chocolates

Here are some more pictures I took inside the gift shop of the beautiful Moana Surfrider in Waikiki.

These boxes are filled with Guava , Kona coffee , and chocolate dipped macadamia nut cookies.

Made exclusively for the Moana Surfrider.

You will also find exclusive boxes of chocolate covered macadamia nuts,

both made in Hawaii by Big Island Candies, Inc.

Here is a closer look at the sign for the chocolates:

And here are the chocolates . . .

yummm . . .

Filling My Lap with Roses . . . - Free Blog Graphic!

I found another beautiful quote.

It is from the poem " The Crescent Moon" by Amy Lowell.

Slipping softly through the sky
Little horned, happy moon,

Can you hear me up so high?
Will you come down soon?

On my nursery window-sill
Will you stay your steady flight?

And then float away with me
Through the summer night?

Brushing over tops of trees,
Playing hide and seek with stars,

Peeping up through shiny clouds
At Jupiter or Mars.

I shall fill my lap with roses
Gathered in the milky way,

All to carry home to mother.
Oh! what will she say!

Little rocking, sailing moon,
Do you hear me shout -- Ahoy!

Just a little nearer, moon,
To please a little boy.

Enjoy!

Afternoon Tea on the Veranda

Last month I posted about the Moana Surfrider and a little about her past.

She has held dear the tradition of afternoon tea on " The Veranda " for over 100 years.

What makes it so special, (besides the incomparable view) is the enchanting selection of " Island Essence " teas you are able to choose from.

Such as Majestic Mango, Pinapple Passion, or Moana Royale tea.

And when you return home, you can close your eyes and still experience this Moana tradition with these Hawaiian teas available from " The Tea Chest ".

When one thinks about Waikiki Beach, afternoon tea is most likely the farthest thing from their mind.

I suppose that is why I love Hawaii so much;

She is always full of suprises!

Mr. Sweetie Pie . . .

Over the weekend we adopted an adorable wee-chon.

(I had never heard of a wee-chon either)

They are a cross between a Bishon and a Westie.

Needless to say,  Mac ( short for macadamia ) has managed to steal my heart.

I do assure KiKi she will always be my buttercup.

Mac is my little white shadow.

Thank you Liz, Craig, and Krysta.
