Autumn Apples

One of the best things about Autumn are apples!

I still recall when I was four years old how the bushel of tart apples smelt when we lived in Connecticut.

" Apple Crisp " was always a favorite in our house growing up.

Thanks Mom!

Those memories have left an indelible mark on me, so much so that  I did not want my son and husband to go without experiencing all the scents, surprise, and splendor of homemade baking filling the house.

I do love it when my husband comes into the house and says, " I smell something good! ".

This recipe is a classic.

My husband has changed the recipe slightly to make 2 times the amount of topping the recipe calls for.

As always, he is right.

It is perfect.

mmmm.....I can almost smell them ..the apples and the baked apple crisp...Makes me nostalgic as well..Fall was my favorite season in Minnesota because of trips to the apple orchard or bags of apples from a friend's tree which i would turn into delicious apple squares..Buying a bag of apples nowadays just isn't the same!
Will you share your apple crisp recipe with us?

Hello Dearest Mo, we call it `Apple Crumble` here and just as tasty! I`m all appled out this year and quite frankly if I never have to pick another apple from a tree until next year, it will be too soon!!!I use an apple-peeler just like yours too!
Also, Mo, I just wanted to let you know that I have used your free button `Enchante` in my header. I hope that you don`t mind and that you`re fit and well and enjoying the Autumnal weather.x

Apple crisp sounds delicious and I bet it makes the house smell wonderful too. The green apples look so festive in your crystal bowl.
